Now to the fun part! DESIGN!! I have loved all facets of design and art for years. Artistic genes run on both sides of my family and I’ve dabbled here and there with art so the transition to graphic design, visual art or even home decor design has come a little natural. Over the years I have worked at a flower shop (so fun!), owned my own Event & Wedding planning company (I have SOOO much decor), managed an event venue, worked at a home decor store (still do sometimes – love our Real Deals shop), done graphic design, worked in all things marketing and so much more and the best part DESIGN is in all of it!!
I love watching home remodeling shows (Watch out Chip & Jo, we’re gonna join you in the big time) and seeing what creative things they come up with, what materials they choose, what colors they pair together or what patterns they mix and match. It’s so fascinating.
So what have I chosen for inspiration so far? I’m so glad you asked!! (We’ll see how much of it really ends up happening as Josh’s favorite word to me is “no” lol)
Once I knew we were going to be moving forward I was on Pinterest INSTANTLY for HOURS! I would stay up and find ideas, search for specific things, look for creative solutions, etc. I was able to really come up with some of our design and floor plan examples via Pinterest which has helped so much along the way. As of now, everything is conceptual but I really can see It all, ya know! Like when you’re looking at a floor plan but you take into consideration the colors, look and feel it really comes to life for me.
